Since I have not posted in months and I don’t even know where to start, I’m going to write a list:
- Ellie’s dad and I broke up in March
- I moved in with my mum and brother
- Tim and I have been co-parenting and sharing the care of Ellie 50% each. I am actually really impressed with how little our own issues about the break-up has gotten in the way of our parenting
- I have really been going inwards during this time, taking care of myself, learning and noticing my patterns
- My relationship to buying things has changed
- It seems like my relationship to everything has changed
- I have somehow managed to let go of many of the pressures I put on myself to create, to be productive, to be robotic and “strong enough” to plow on through whatever emotion is coming up, to be my old idea of perfect
- I am saner, more open, more trusting, more confident. I am so much kinder to myself. Life feels like a great adventure again.
- A week ago I moved into my own place. I am currently setting it up so that it supports me and the lifestyle I want. Many things I’ve bought are second-hand or vintage and it is such a joy to finally have a home that truly represents me.
I’m really looking forward to posting here more often, expanding on the things I mentioned and sharing the new ideas I’ve discovered.
If you guys have any questions or would like me to post about something in particular, do let me know! Otherwise, see you again soon.
